Sourcing note
gutenberg.org was unreachable from the build host; the file was fetched from
the Gutenberg mirror http://aleph.gutenberg.org/4/5/0/4507/4507.txt (ebook
#4507), verified to contain the full "As a Man Thinketh" text (Foreword through
the "Peace, be still!" close) and the correct James Allen authorship header.
Corpus assembled
The single proof work is As a Man Thinketh. It is tiny (~10k words, 7 short
chapters), so the whole book is the evidence pool — see CORPUS_BOUNDARY.md.
Attribution layers (voice metadata)
voice: allen— Allen's own expository voice. This is almost the whole book.- Inside his prose Allen quotes a few others: the proem poem, the "As a man
thinketh in his heart so is he" scriptural aphorism (Proverbs 23:7), the
bracketed verse "Thought in the mind hath made us…", the "So You will be what
you will to be" poem, and a long Serenity passage plus a Stanton Kirkham Davis
passage he quotes at length. Those are quotations reported by Allen:
verbatim in the corpus, but the note names the reported source where known.
Allen endorses them by citing them.
RU layer
No clean PD Russian translation was ingested. All Russian renderings in this
vault are our own careful translations from the PD English, marked «перевод
наш». English is the primary evidence pool; every evidence blockquote is a
verbatim English substring of asamanthinketh_pg4507.txt.
Self-check
scripts/verify_quotes.py re-checks that every > blockquote in concepts/,
principles/ and chains/ is a whitespace-normalized, case-exact verbatim
substring of sources/asamanthinketh_pg4507.txt, and that every [[wikilink]]
resolves. sources/qsearch.py is the single-phrase helper used while writing.
